Freshman Year - Spring 2023
In the second semester of The University of Alabama's Randall Research Scholars Program, its freshmen compete in a data analysis competition.
The project goal is to find and research a data set, pose four research questions, and use data analysis techniques to answer them. Tools include statistics, SQL code, and MATLAB code. The final product is a video with all four questions and answers.
My team chose to study data about movies from IMDB and The Movies DataBase. Appropriately, we styled our video in parody of a famous director, Wes Anderson. Our project won the year's competition.
